I made a mistake in the DefaultVertxHttpBinding implementation in that if the
content-type exchange header is set, it gets stripped by the
HeaderFilterStrategy, and is never set on the Vert.x HttpRequest object.
The workaround until a fix is available would be to extend
DefaultVertxHttpBinding and override populateRequestHeaders so that
content-type can be set properly.
