Claus Ibsen commented on CAMEL-17515:
-------------------------------------
However thinking about this - if a k8s container is terminating a pod, then it
knows that its being terminated and should ideally regard it as "NOT READY" and
stop sending traffic to it.
If a graceful shutdown is taking a longer time, and could that affect some
monitoring systems that would "report a problem" if the camel app is "NOT
READY" for a longer time (where it does not know it is being shutdown).
To be conservative then it sounds better to say "NOT READY" when graceful
shutdown is started to stop sending new traffic, and allow Camel to shutdown
cleanly.
> Provide an option to mark Camel readiness as DOWN during graceful shutdown
