[~davsclaus] The PR is about to be complete. It was for the main and 4.x
branches. I assume it can be automatically integrated into 3.x - so the ticket
needs to be Opened. Correct me if the changes can be merged into 3.x
automatically. Otherwise I'm going to back port them
