Going back to the Hadoop API change, I think the right approach is to merge this change as it it is now, because in the future, I plan to completely remove the client-building code from the `S3MultipartUploadHandler`. The multi-part functionality can be handled by hadoop's built-in S3 client that we use in other parts of the code.
