I have set the following parameters in a 4.1 set up.
mysql> SET GLOBAL log_output='TABLE';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
mysql> SET GLOBAL general_log='ON';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
I will leave the set up idle over the weekend and see if this issue reproduces.
This issue was observed on couple of management servers when there was no
activities for couple of days.
