Reporter: Minying Bao
Steps
Setup the CloudStack environments with build 4.2#133.
Add EN-US-Win7 template and then create as an instance.
Open Firefox, launch the EN-US-Win7 via ConsoleProxy in client machine.
Hit all the keys with EN-US standard keyboard.
Expected Result
All the keys should remap as same as the EN-US standard keyboard layout
behavior.
Actual Result
Common issues found in English OS with EN Keyboard
1 "Alt + Shift" combination: Alt+Shift used to change the keyboard layout when
two are more keyboard layouts are available in a OS. Alt+Shift combination is
not working few time, with the reproducible frequency of about 30%.
2 "Caps Lock": Caps Lock functionality is reversed in the VM provided by
Console Proxy. When "Caps Lock" is turned on, Console Proxy types lower case
characters and vice versa. (Note:If the properties of “Caps Lock” in both VM
and Client are kept the same at first time, the Caps Lock functionality works
well.)
3 "Ctrl + Space" combination: When 3rd party input method like "Chinese Sougou"
is installed in English OS, then Ctrl+Space can be used to change the input
between "English" & "Chinese Sougou".
4 "Ctrl + Numpad .": This combination behaves like "Ctrl+N".
5 "Shift + Numpad -": Echoes underscore, whereas the expected is hypen.
6 "Shift + Numpad /": Echoes question mark, whereas the expected is slash.
