Jessica Wang updated CLOUDSTACK-4089:
-------------------------------------
Priority: Major (was: Critical)
Issue Type: Improvement (was: Bug)
This is an improvement, not a critical bug.
A ciritcal bug is something that causes error and blocks normal functionality.
This is an improvement that just makes it convenient to end user (less typing
for end user), but requires a lot of widget change which will certainly cause
regressions.
Without this improvement, edit traffic label in configure physical network in
zone wizard for VMware works already.
I suggest we do this improvment in next release instead of rushing it in at the
last moment of this release and causing regressions which might affect
XenServer and KVM zone.
> Provide a drop down to specify VLAN,Switch type, Traffic label name while
> configuring Zone(VMWARE)

> Observation:
> Setup: VMWARE
> 1. While configuring Zone, During Physical network creation , currently
> there is a text field to specify VLAN Id for the traffic , Traffic label
> name & Switch type (vmwaresvs,vmwaredvs,nexusdvs)
> 2. It is text field and there is a possibility of missing some of the
> parameters.
> 3. While adding cluster we have an option to specify the traffic label name
> and drop down to select the Switch type.
> This is the request to provide a drop down to specify VLAN,Switch type,
> Traffic label name while configuring Zone(VMWARE). This will avoid a lot of
> confusion between Zone vs Cluster level configuration.
> It also simplifies the configuration process.
