Kirk Kosinski created CLOUDSTACK-4658:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Document Global Settings relevant to HA
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-4658
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-4658
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Doc
    Affects Versions: 4.1.1
            Reporter: Kirk Kosinski
            Priority: Minor

It would be useful if the HA for Hosts section of the admin guide had some
explanation of any relevant Global Settings. In particular I think the
cluster.memory.allocated.capacity.disablethreshold is relevant since it
directly controls how much RAM is allocated to a cluster and effectively how
much free RAM will be available when an HA event occurs. There is similar
information in the Set and Monitor Total VM Limits per Host section, but often
the memory allocation is the limiting factor for a cluster rather than raw VM
count.

Note that this explanation may need to be changed for 4.2 due to the
introduction of memory over-provisioning.
