Kirk Kosinski created CLOUDSTACK-4720:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Explain sshkeyenabled parameter for registerTemplate
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-4720
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-4720
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Doc
    Affects Versions: 4.1.1
            Reporter: Kirk Kosinski
            Priority: Minor

The Using SSH Keys for Authentication section of the admin guide has a good
explanation of the SSH key feature. However, it is missing an explanation of
the "sshkeyenabled" parameter to registerTemplate. This parameter causes
confusion since it looks similar to the "passwordenabled" parameter, but does
not work the same.

The sshkeyenabled parameter is optional and apparently for informational
purposes only. It does not determine if a VM created from the template will
use the SSH key functionality. This should be explained in the SSH Keys
section of the admin guide, and/or in the API documentation for
registerTemplate.
