Christophe commented on CLOUDSTACK-5198:
----------------------------------------
I got the problem the publickey sent had a carriage return character at the
end. This character caused the error.
Checking keys to remove carriage returns before sending solves the problem.
Should carriage returns be also managed by CloudStack API?
> Cannot register SSH key through the ReST API

> I get a strange error with CS 4.1: User Key Error : Received value for
> parameter publickey is invalid, contains illegal ASCII non-printable
> characters
> I used that with CS 3. Is there any issue about ssk key registration through
> the rest API?
> It looks like the problem was introduced by
> https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=cloudstack.git;h=ed06c16 and quite
> similar to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3362.
> Thanks for any help (fix, workaround),
> Christophe.
