Alex Hitchins commented on CLOUDSTACK-5825:
-------------------------------------------
Good morning Chris,
I did take a look at this and submit another patch or two however I seem to
remember that Daan had reservations about them. IIRC it was due to how
necessary they were.
I will take a look later on tonight and see where it got left off.
Hope you are well, you posted a semi-cryptic messaging to the mailing list and
then went MIA (as you say).
Take care and I'll ping you an email later tonight.
Regards
Alex Hitchins

> VolumeApiServiceImpl.orchestrateTakeVolumeSnapshot() to
> VolumeServiceImpl.takeSnapshot(), you’ll notice that ANY exception that is
> thrown inside of SnapshotManager.takeSnapshot() is simply caught and ignored.
> Back up in VolumeApiServiceImpl.orchestrateTakeVolumeSnapshot(),
> JobInfo.Status.SUCCEEDED is ALWAYS returned, regardless of the snapshot
> result.
