Denis Finko updated CLOUDSTACK-7756:
------------------------------------
Description:
Hello CloudStack community,
I have found that in my environment CloudStack provide wrong data for Allocated
Disk Space on SATA storage.
CloudStack UI displayed:
Disk Total 5.00 TB
Disk Allocated 7.49 TB
I have looked to VMware side and found absolutely different data:
Capacity: 5.00 TB
Provisioned Space: 4.68 TB
Free Space: 3.70 TB
7.49 - 4.68 = 2.81 TB (CloudStack show allocated disk space on 2.81 TB more)
That's data that I can get from database:
mysql> select
id,uuid,name,status,capacity_bytes,capacity_iops,tag,disk_used_capacity,disk_reserved_capacity
from storage_pool_view where id=2 \G
*************************** 1. row ***************************
id: 2
uuid: 096b3b6e-481d-33b4-9b34-7178612a2535
name: SATA1
status: Up
capacity_bytes: 5497289703424
capacity_iops: NULL
tag: sata
disk_used_capacity: 8235717357961
disk_reserved_capacity: 0
1 row in set (0.00 sec)
mysql>
mysql> select v.state, sum(v.size) from volumes v, vm_instance vm,
vm_root_disk_tags d where v.instance_id=vm.id and d.vm_id=vm.id and
d.root_disk_tag like 'sata' group by v.state;
+---------------+---------------+
| state | sum(v.size) |
+---------------+---------------+
| Destroy | 664646189056 |
| Expunged | 5396626407424 |
| Expunging | 2147483648 |
| Ready | 4026531840000 |
+-----------+---------------+
4 rows in set (0.01 sec)
I guess that the 'Ready' disk space = 4026531840000 it's 'Provisioned Space' in
VMware.
But what is 'Disk Allocated' size in CloludStack that equal to 7.49 TB ???
How CloudStack calculate that data???
This issue is similar to this which also wasn't resolved:
