Mike Tutkowski created CLOUDSTACK-8233:
------------------------------------------

Summary: Can't create VM on KVM on Ubuntu 12.04
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-8233
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8233
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: KVM
    Affects Versions: 4.5.0, 4.6.0
         Environment: Ubuntu 12.04
            Reporter: Mike Tutkowski
            Priority: Blocker
             Fix For: 4.5.0, 4.6.0

I am at the latest version of Libvirt on Ubuntu 12.04 and this version does not
recognize kvmclock.

When we create a VM on KVM in 4.5 (and 4.6), we pass in a reference to
kvmclock. We need to make sure this reference does not appear in the XML to
create a VM if Libvirt is not at a high-enough version.

On my Ubuntu 14.04 system, where Libvirt is at a high-enough version, I am able
to create VMs on KVM.
