Hi Wei,
Sorry...I should have provided more details. I was tired when my test
encountered this issue and just wanted to record the fact that we have a bug
that destroys data.
What I know right now is that when I attempt to restore the VM to a prior state
that one of the VDIs on the SR gets deleted.
For example, you start with one VDI for your root disk. A VM snapshot is taken,
which creates a snapshot VDI. When I restore to the state of the snapshot, one
of the VDIs that make up the root disk is deleted and the only VDI that remains
in the SR is the snapshot VDI.
I tried with this non-managed storage (i.e. "normal" storage) and this does not
happen (no data corruption there).
I have time now to start a deeper investigation and will do so.
