[~sateeshc] Yes, this is the fix for this issue. I've sent the PRs (see above) 
for 4.5/4.6 branches. If you can add some tests etc, and test the fixes in 
general please use the PRs as starting point. We want the fix in 
4.5.3/4.6.1/4.7/master; so this needs to be fixed and merged by end of next 
week (before 7 Dec).
