comments and reviews. I've tried my best to incorporate them all and ensure the
stability of the branch.
Given we've enough LGTMs on this, I'll kick a final test round. Afterwards,
if no blockers are seen in the results, I'll kick a final systemvmtemplate
build job, upload them on download.c.o and other locations and update the
checksums in the db-upgrade path and then I'll merge this PR with an explicit
merge commit. Post-merge, I'll kick another test round.
With my RM hat on starting 8th/Jan/2018 I won't hesitate to revert this work
if a major regression/blocker is found where we have to revert the merge.
