Telnet Connector failing if input is more than 76 characters

I try to connect to an HP-UX box and fire this command:
vtadmin check queue /Servers/bserv10400_vit_core/WipMailProcessor/ClarifyQueue
By trial and error i have found that since this command is longer than 76
characters the readuntil() in TelnetClient fails and doesnt give proper output.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
