An actual jar is required and Eclipse has nothing to do with it - Maven is an
Apache project. The jar has to contain the source code for the binary jar with
the same directory structure, i.e. org/apache/... at the top level. From what
I can see the commons-pool src.zip is not in that format, so it would have to
be broken up and repackaged. Totally trivial, and not publishing anything new
at all.
