Currently the handling of sparse tar entries works well for the blue-sky case
where the archive is not corrupted in any way. But if there are problems like
non-numeric values in the wrong places, negative offsets and so on, Compress
may throw some hard to understand RuntimeExceptions or fail in other difficult
to trace ways.
