Matt Juntunen commented on NUMBERS-156:

bq. Do you propose to add a 2D version for completeness or leave that to
Math.hypot?

I have a 2D version implemented for completeness. I'm currently working on a PR
that includes the {{Norms}} class as well as a {{Summation}} class that
implements the sum2s algorithm from the Ogita paper. I feel like the latter
will help considerably with the accuracy issues we've struggled with in
commons-geometry-spherical. The only issue I'm running into now is finding time
to work on it.

> We should create an overload of {{SafeNorm.value}} that accepts 3 arguments
> to potentially improve performance for 3D vectors.
