Review comment:
       "the BitMapProducer is allowed to not emit zero based values at the end
to the list of bit maps"

   This is fine. The method can be done as is done in the ArrayBuilder:
   ```Java
       @Override
       public boolean mergeInPlace(BloomFilter other) {
           Objects.requireNonNull(other, "other");
           other.forEachBitMap(new LongPredicate() {
               int i;
               @Override
               public boolean test(long value) {
                   bitMap[i++] |= value;
                   return true;
               }
           });
           this.cardinality = -1;
           return true;
       }
   ```

   I see the utility in your BiFunction method. It is like a zipping iterator
that joins the bitmaps from two filters. I.e. can I have the aligned bit maps
for these two BloomFilters with the same shape. I'll leave you to think about
where to put it. But I do not think it solves this merge in place where you are
just adding a partial (starting from 0) or complete array of bit maps to the
current long[].
