The
[{{LineSearch}}|https://github.com/apache/commons-math/blob/master/commons-math-legacy/src/main/java/org/apache/commons/math4/legacy/optim/nonlinear/scalar/LineSearch.java]
class is a sort of a hack in that in holds a reference to the "main"
optimizer. It is an implementation detail that should be removed from the
public API.
