[VAT id number|https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAT_identification_number] is
required in the EU intra-Community market. Format and CheckDigit validation are
different in each country. Sometimes VATID is equal to TIN (Bulgaria),
sometimes there are many formats (Spain). You can check a VATID online with
VIES but this redirects a query to national register. Better to use VIES with a
pre-validated id.
