The Apache Imaging library had three alpha versions in the last two years and I
would like to query the future of the library and when it may become generally
available:
1.0.0-alpha6 2025-04-27
1.0.0-alpha5 2024-04-15
1.0.0-alpha4 2024-03-30
As we want to incorporate the ImageIO library into our software for replacing
the unmaintained Java Advanced Imaging JAR, we would like to proceed so once
the library reached a non-alpha and is ready for GA (General availability).
Could the authors/owners of [Commons – Apache Commons
Imaging|https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-imaging/index.html] indicate
what the prospective plan is when in the future the GA release of the Imaging
library will be provided?
