CreditCardValidator in the routines package provides validators for Amex, Visa,
Mastercard, Discover, Diners and VPay, but none for JCB, which is widely used
across Asia and accepted by most international merchants. Users currently have
to build their own CodeValidator or CreditCardRange for it.
I'd like to add a JCB option and a JCB_VALIDATOR covering the IIN range
3528-3589 with 16 to 19 digits, following the existing Diners and VPay
constants. JCB would not be added to the default constructor, so current
behavior won't change.
VALIDATOR-174 requested this back two decades ago. At the time this was
resolved by making card types pluggable.
Since then Diners and VPay got dedicated constants in the routines version, so
JCB seems a reasonable addition as well. A pull request will follow.
