To be honest I have no idea how relevant commons-attributes still is and also
since qdox has changed its groupId sometime over the past 3+ years it is
unlikely that anybody will use a version of qdox that is too new anyway.
The reason attributes doesn't compile is described under "Upgrading to 1.9 or
above" in http://qdox.codehaus.org/upgrade.html - it seems qdox has
deliberately broken its API.
The patch I'm going to attach not only fixes qdox problem but also upgrades the
only other dependency (Ant) and fixes a few deprecation warnings. I haven't
performed any tests beyound running "maven test".
