I just found that Dain Sundstrom (already Apache Commons Committer) implemented
a pure Java implementation of Snappy on
[GitHub|https://github.com/dain/snappy], I wrote him a personal email to invite
him to contribute it to {{commons-compress}}.
Let's keep the finger crossed he will accept :)
