Hi Raghu,

thanks for the report and the test case. There seems to be a bug in case the 
solver is not restricted to negative values. So when you call it the following 
way you get correct results:

    PointValuePair solution = new SimplexSolver().optimize(f, constraints, 
GoalType.MAXIMIZE, true);
{noformat}

I will dig further into it, and solve it asap.
