This is the documented behavior of the method. The original reporter wants to
use the
[StringUtils.removeEnd|http://commons.apache.org/lang/api-release/org/apache/commons/lang3/StringUtils.html#removeEnd(java.lang.String,
java.lang.String)] method instead.
