Tested on another Windows 7 machine with a different JRE.
OS: Windows 7 Home basic 64-bit (the same as before)
JRE: 6u39 64-bit
Steps:
1. Installed Oracle JRE 6u39 64-bit
2. Rebooted
3. Installed Tomcat 7.0.36 RC as a service.
- Components: default + Examples webapp
- To disk D: (D:\Testing\Tomcat7.0\)
- On the last page of installed cleared the checkboxes. Thus I did not start
the service when installed finished. All stating/stopping the service later was
performed through the Windows services list.
4. Start service
5. Stop service -> nothing wrong in logs
6. Start service
7. Restart service -> broken line (12:33:00)
8. Restart service -> "Failed to set service status" message (12:35:51)
9. Stop service -> "Failed to set service status" message
Here is log excerpt from steps 6-8. I'll attach full logs to the issue.
