Sebb commented on IO-239:
-------------------------
It looks like conversion to an enum may not break compatibility; Clirr does not
complain, though it does report the following informationals for IOCase:
Added java.lang.Comparable to the set of implemented interfaces
Added java.lang.Enum to the list of superclasses
Method 'public org.apache.commons.io.IOCase valueOf(java.lang.String)' has been
added
Method 'public org.apache.commons.io.IOCase[] values()' has been added
Ideally still need to check that code compiled against 2.4 will still work.
> Convert IOCase to a Java 1.5+ Enumeration

> Since Java now properly supports enumerations, I believe that IOCase should
> now be declared as a proper Java enumeration.
