Phil Steitz commented on MATH-983:
----------------------------------

I like Gilles' idea of splitting off the guide and examples for publication /
distribution purposes. In theory, we could leave the sources where they are,
just create a second pom for math-examples that adds the dependency and
generates the artifacts (plus I guess somehow omit the guide sources from the
current site build). That may be too complicated or impossible via maven,
though. If so, we are left with the problem of how to have what amounts to a
"site" dependency. Does anyone know if there is a clever maven way to have a
dependency have only "site build" scope? If there is no way to do this, I
would be OK adding the dependency with a comment in the pom indicating that it
is only needed for site generation.
