Ate Douma closed SCXML-95.
--------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Fix Version/s: (was: 0.10)
The profile attribute currently isn't used anywhere (just read and stored on
the SCXML object), same for the extmode attribute.
While I don't mind keeping these 'non-standard' attributes to support
downstream extended usages, I don't think there is much use for these within
the base Commons SCXML implementation.
Note though that the SCXML specification *does* describe the datamodel
attribute, which IMO can/should be used for the same features are described in
this issue.
I intend to tackle the datamodel attribute and its usage in a new issue
sometime later.

> SCXML defines a profile attribute. This should be reflected in the model. The
> profile attribute could be used in two ways:
> 1) check profile name within parsed document against registered
> context/evaluator and throw error in case of mismatch
> 2) allow registration of multiple context/evaluators and executor should
> instantiate context/evaluator based on profile attribute of parsed document.
