Fix Version/s: 4.0
Name of the proposed class was change to {{SimpleCurveFitter}}.
Issue should remain open so that code can be consolidated before releasing 4.0:
* Code duplication should be reduced (other fitting classes could perhaps
inherit from {{SimpleCurveFitter}}).
* {{ParameterGuesser}} functionality could be defined in an interface and
become a parameter to an alternative factory method.
This all requires more thought/discussion not likely to happen before 3.4 is
released.
