Please read the output again. In case you do not know JMH, I recommend to get
familiar with it:
http://openjdk.java.net/projects/code-tools/jmh/
The throughput in Java 6 almost doubled from 140k ops per second to 220k ops
per second.
What you misread is the average error, which went down.
