Gilles commented on MATH-1284:
------------------------------
I don't follow...
Is there a problem with the current usage of {{Point}} in CM?
Or do you point :) out that, the name "Point" being taken by this class, CM
won't be able to provide an implementation of some geometry concepts using the
expected terminology?
Could you provide a concrete example?
Do you intend to provide such an extension to CM?
> Vector is-not-a Point

>
> Key: MATH-1284

> Project: Commons Math
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 3.5
> Reporter: Roman Werpachowski
> Priority: Minor
>
> The class hierarchy for geometry claims that Vector is-a Point:
> This is mathematically incorrect, see e.g.
> Just because they share the same numerical representation, Point and Vector
> shouldn't be crammed into a common class hierarchy.
