I disagree with enforcing the record size to be 512 bytes. Even if this is the
only value valid according to the spec, it has been possible to set it to a
different value in the past (and shoot yourself in the foot, I know). People
who have used a different value i the past should remain able to do so IMHO, if
it worked for them until now I don't see any reason to stop them from doing it.
