As the goal for the 2.0 release, compliance with the [SCXML
specification|https://www.w3.org/TR/2015/REC-scxml-20150901] is almost
achieved, it would be nice to go one more time through the code and do some
trivial cleanup.
Many/most warnings concern unnecessary typing since we moved to Java 8, etc.
This is a non-critical task.
