Bruno P. Kinoshita resolved IMAGING-187.
----------------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

Closing as IMAGING-198. The issue occurs due to a metadata that is invalid
(either corrupt, or which offset lays outside the possible offsets within the
image). This could be something that a vendor does to store thumbnails in a
different way, or in an external media.

The workaround is to disable reading the thumbnail by default, as in the issue
comment, and in the IMAGING-198 comments as well.

Cheers
Bruno
