Impressive patch! I have applied it (with minor changes, just added some @since
tags) in revision 1842650.
Ideally, we could add a sentence to the user's guide mentioning the new
IOFactory class as an alternative when stricter compatibility to
java.util.Properties is required. Do you want to create a corresponding patch,
too?
Also, if you want to be added to the contributors section in pom.xml, just send
us the data you want to get in.
