JEXL is 8+ years old, lack of unary plus has not been an issue till yesterday.
Pardon my curiosity.
Based on your reaction, I'd encourage your PM/PO/QA and you to check that the
rest of the JEXL syntax - and JEXL itself - is appropriate to your project.
There might be many other unmet expectations and behaviour discrepancies from
the specification of your own expression language.
