Database compatibility checking step during startup
---------------------------------------------------
Key: CONTINUUM-1980
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-1980
Project: Continuum
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Data Management
Affects Versions: 1.3
Reporter: Napoleon Esmundo C. Ramirez
Continuum should be able to detect when it has been started with an
incompatible database and prompt the user to take the appropriate action.
When continuum starts up, it checks if it is configured to connect to an
existing database. Continuum starts up as usual if it isn't. Otherwise, it
should validate the database if it complies with the database schema bundled
with continuum. Validation exceptions will provide the information on what
action is needed to do.
