Description:
It's possible to get failures due to Maven 3 metadata in the local repository
where, for example, a POM updater can not find a parent POM that is a snapshot.
We should upgrade the Maven project libraries - possibly to the Maven 3 ones,
though at least to a set that are relaxed about Maven 3 metadata.
