Yah, the documentation could have been removed. But `<uses-sdk>` tag itself isn't deprecated and there is still some potential use cases for it. Such as overriding libraries via [tools:overrideLibrary](https://developer.android.com/studio/build/manifest-merge#override_uses-sdk_for_imported_libraries) attribute.
