Closing because of staleness of the issue. CLI 8 is old and the issue may be no longer relevant with modern versions of cordova-ios / CLI / splashscreen plugin. Additionally, cordova-plugin-splashscreen is no longer supports iOS as splashscreen code has been moved to the core platform.
