Here was one thing I noticed Following your previous steps: 1. Set the color in `config.xml` as you previously mentioned: ```xml <preference name="StatusBarBackgroundColor" value="#cccccc" /> ``` 2. Launch the App 3. Notice the Black Status Bar 4. Minimize the App, place in background (Do not close) 5. Open Settings → Wallpaper & style 6. Change your colors either from Wallpaper colors or Basic colors. 7. Return to the app (bring to foreground) 8. Notice that the status bar is now the color your defined. This is one of the reasons why I am wondering if it is an Android bug, not Cordova.
