Resolution: Not A Problem
If you create a project using the CLI, you have to use the CLI to "prepare" the
platforms using "cordova prepare" if you have to go to Xcode. If you don't plan
to use the CLI for everything you will have to use the "bin/create" script in
cordova-ios and plugman to install your plugins.
If after step 4 you did "cordova emulate ios", it will work, since it
implicitly calls "cordova prepare".
