There are multiple issues here which should be broken down individually.
Some of this discussion will be in CB-5145. When the res folder was moved up
one level to be a peer of www, these PNGs were no longer added to a
newly-created project by the CLI.
The name mismatch of "splash" and "splash" is a typo, and will be corrected.
