Ian,
Please consider that I'm looking to Cordova to be a more of a native mobile API
than a web API. I know that following the web API spec is good for many people
since web page code will port to Cordova more easily if you do follow the spec.
However, I'm less concerned with porting over web apps than I am with building
an app which can accomplish all that the native mobile APIs can accomplish.
Given those requirements it is not as critical to me that Cordova strictly
implements the web API specifications.
As far as the media plugin goes the biggest problem at this time is it works
differently than the camera plugin, especially on iOS. As you suggested, I'll
make another ticket for that issue and elaborate there.
