Jesse MacFadyen created CB-7234:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Plugin registration isn't friendly
                 Key: CB-7234
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7234
             Project: Apache Cordova
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Plugman
            Reporter: Jesse MacFadyen
            Assignee: Anis Kadri

Tried to publish a plugin and ...

{code}
$ plugman publish BarcodeScanner
Unexpected token <
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>400 Bad Request</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Bad Request</h1>
<p>Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.<br />
</p>
<hr>
<address>Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at registry.cordova.io Port 80</address>
</body></html>
 SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>400 Bad Request</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Bad Request</h1>

</p>

</body></html>

{code}

The reason it failed was that the 'id' was already in use, though I only found
this out by changing the id in plugin.xml and trying again. It would be nice
if this were made usable. Also, there is no indication that anything is
happening after using the publish command, how about a simple 'attempting to
publish com.phonegap.plugins.barcodescanner' or something?
